Wow !!!

You know the last post I had was concerning "Time Management" wouldn't you know that not long after that my schedule went KABLAM!!!!

I still believe everything in that post, but its one thing to know it and another to do it, Yikes!

I think I've literally lost months, kinda going through week to week.

I just saw the movie "Click" with Adam Sandler and there is a reference to "automatic pilot" where he was living his life ( I use that word loosely) but not really participating in it. Thats the way the past few weeks have been for me.

I feel I may be coming out of it now, I really don't know how I got there in the first place.

I'm sure others can relate.

I have had some interesting conversations with people concerning of all things, Lucifer.

Do you realize the name is only mentioned once in the whole bible?

Really only once in Isaiah 14:12

Have you also heard that Lucifer and Satan are the same being and that he was an archangel and incharge of music and worship in heaven?

Can someone tell me where this is found in the bible ?

We can really come up with some wacky things if they are preached convincingly enough

Luke 8:18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

Let me know your thoughts

Time Management ??????

Hey folks,

No I havent fallen out of blog heaven, just been real busy.

I have so much occupying my time, work, music, learning sound engineering, surfing, and trying to update this blog... at least once a year.

What I am finding interesting is now that I have so much going on the "Time Management Principles" I have acquired over the years are starting to pay off.

I started to ponder on how God "manages time", Now I know God is outside of the restrictions of time but humor me.

I was reminded of Ecclesiastes 3
3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:................

Well I said "To all my things there must be a time and purpose" and I started scheduling everything...and most importantly sticking to that schedule

I believe that purpose is really tied in with passion, ie what you are truly passionate about is what you should do/be. So this is how I prioritize my time.

What I am most passionate about is at the top of the list, and the things that lend to or strengthen me towards that passion are next in priority.

Next are the mundane task of life and the things temporarily out of my control like my job, I do need to eat.

The list dwindles down to stuff of little or no importance but necessary.

Another important step is to eliminate things that are unnecessary or pull me away from my passion. (except of course those things like my job again)

This has really saved me from being rushed or pressured to do it all, I have found a freedom from time that is new and refreshing.
If you can manage to sit down and really take control of your time it will be well worth the efforts.

Ask God to help you ...He will

Thats all for now anyway, besides I dont know you? and you want details? Are you Crazy?

I might be.

Wow have i been busy!!

Boy just thought I would sit and write something.

I was at a friends house today for dinner, and we started talking about the male/female role issue, as it pertains to the body of Christ.

Of course the whole thing about women being submissive and obeying their husbands in all things came up. I pointed out that husbands are commanded to love their wives even as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her.
Then Whamo !!! out pops this scripture

Ephesians 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

I said that is it!! To love one as ourselves is to place them on an equal level with us.
If I condecende to my wife then I am placing her beneath me, and i could not truely love her as myself.
But if I look at my wife as my equal and even more my completer then I must love her on an equal level or even more so a greater level than myself.
Because in reality I am not complete without her and I cannot truly love myself completely without factoring in my wife as a great part of who I am.

We must look at our spouses as designed and purposed to be one with us.
God has planned every aspect of our lives for his purpose including our spouses.
To deny this fact is to deny God is in control, and that my friends is dangerous ground.

I realize some still believe in free will, but I am convinced that we have the volition to make choices but we always make choices according to outside influence. Who controls the outside influences that determine our choices?

Did I have a choice to marry my wife Cindy?
Looking back I can honestly say yes, but because of the outside influences in my life that made me" ready for marriage" at that time, along with the fact that she is an incredible, facinating and beautiful woman, I made the right choice and God knew I would.

So the beauty of this whole post is this
Cindy loves me and desires to serve and bless me and I love her and endeavor to bless her and serve her needs.

And for 17 yrs we have been pretty successful, boy does God know what he is doing or what?

until next time

New Testament Giving…for New Testament Believers

2 Corinthians 9:6-10 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

Wow, before I go any further, notice the italicized portion I believe this is the key to New Testament Giving (NTG), we give as we purpose in our hearts.
If it is not in our heart to give, then we shouldn’t give at that time otherwise we ARE doing it grudgingly and out of necessity.

Christ has called us to liberty, why would anyone want to be bound to a form or pattern of giving.
When we give freely from our hearts this is a good work, and God will make sure we always have a supply to continue in good works. More on this later

Ephesians 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

This is just tapping the NTG principle, we should labor so we are able to give; give what ? Give to needs.
We have been called to respond to the NEEDS of others.
I believe only through an ongoing daily relationship with God, are we able to discern the needs of others.
We don’t want to be their provider, that’s God’s job, but we do want to be obedient to the Spirit’s leading.
We must see with spiritual eyes, not natural.

Often times we can see suffering or financial hardships and be moved with compassion to help, but in this we often forget God and just forge ahead “by faith”
Let me tell you (let the stoning begin) if we just forge ahead and forget God, simply put we can forget faith.

We are not moving in faith we are moving in arrogance, we by our actions are telling God “I know what’s going on I can deal with this I can fix it”
What if God is doing it? What if God in his mercy has brought this person to a place of hardship that they need to go through, a place where they will truly learn to trust God? Then we come along and put a bandaid on it, it may feel better for a little while but it will not heal until God is through doing what he purposed to do.
Could we actually prolong the process by trying to fix it ourselves

I have found by seeking God before reacting to what I see physically very often he will confirm our thoughts and we can truly see Him responding through us. But there have been times when I have sought God and he has put up the “Hands off” sign and again I see God responding without us.
It is because of this that I encourage everyone to seek God before moving …

The greater purpose for NTG is to bring equality to the body.
First let me define body, this is the true church, all believers everywhere, but on a more personal level it is those you are in relationship with, your fellowship family, those you see and can affect daily those God has fitly joined you together with.

Body giving is so important because as we give to the necessities (needs) of the saints, we build the body and bring all of us closer to life.

My brother in faith shares this definition of life

The state of being in this realm where we are no longer hindered by time, resources or circumstance.
To walk in life we break the bondage of this present world even as the following verses demonstrate.

Acts 2:44-45 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

Acts 4:32-35 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.
I have to end with a word of caution….and assurance

1 John 3:17-19 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

God bless all who read this

And please share your light (respond)

cool test

sounds amazingly like me

You are a Self-Discoverer

You're not religious, but you've created your own kind of spirituality.

Introspective and thoughtful, you tend to look inward for the divine.

You are distrusting of all forms of organized religion.

You especially dislike religious gurus and leaders, who you feel are charlatans.

Hey folks,

i have a recent challenge regarding the doctrine of
rapture.

I have been challenged by a brother on the accurate
understanding of Rev 13:7-8

Revelation 13:7-8 And it was given unto him to make
war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power
was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and
nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall
worship him, whose names are not written in the book
of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the
world.

The challenge comes from verse 8

He says that this speaks of a time when all who dwell
on earth will be those who's names are "not written in
the book"

I have always felt that it spoke of all (whos names
are not written) worshipping him. This infers that
some will not worship him.

I will have to dig deeper to see how these verses line
up with Christ teaching on the end.

I would be interested in your thoughts on this matter

Be blessed
